Google
Trending Billboards

For Google we wanted to boost the awareness of their latest search features and we thought Gen Z fashion and culture can be a great avenue to explore and get the word out about Google Lens app and features.

Alongside Creative Directors Guiga Cunha, Otto Pajunk, Estefanio Holtz. We created billboards made out of the textures that were also searchable. From faux fur, to puffer nylon and real pearls, over 20 billboards took over 3 cities.

Tasked with developing the full scale mechanics, developing the patterns to be displayed as well as color choice, graphic elements and google lens visual language layout + placement.

We identified the most relevant fashion trends to younger audiences using a combination of Google Trends data, social listening, and research, then created custom scannable billboards made with the most iconic fabrics and patterns of each. That’s right. Billboards made with real cotton, nylon, faux fur and other real fabrics. By simply scanning the ads with the Google app, people could find items featuring the same patterns and materials, and even shop the looks that they found.

Google has been the most popular place to search for over a decade, but lately, as new platforms have emerged, new generations have been looking for inspiration elsewhere. So, Google launched a campaign to get young people to see a whole new side of search that's much more fun and engaging.
